Our school Algarve cruising Center is a trademark of RTV - Associação para o Estudo e Conservação dos Oceanos. This means when you participate on a sailing or powerboat course, you also contributing for one of our social or environmental projects. Part of your course fee (50€) goes straight to one of those projects.
We run different projects. Some of them seasonal and other ones all year long.
At the moment we are doing the Crescer pelo Mar project - ocean literacy with a group of young girls in risk (suffering different types of abuses). We take those girl for sailing lessons, cleaning campaigns, ocean literacy and ocean photography. Beasides that we also teach watersports and other nautical activities. Other project that we have at the moment is the Ria+ Project - Ocean conservancy and local population awareness. We organize different campaigs each year all of them related to sustainability.
